So much power and the only game I have to play is World of Warcraft! Ah well.

ATI being his graphics card? If so, thats what the 'Ew' was aimed at. NVidia all the way.

My point was that you are using an Athlon... admittedly they weren't merged when you bought it and back then AMD was top dog. I agree that in the past nvidia was king of the hill but with the new Radeon 4850 and 4870 I think ATI have took the crown. NVidias top of the range are faster, but extorsionately priced.

NVidia were driving prices up through the roof and as ATI released their latest and quite powerfull cards at a reasonable price, forcing nVidia prices down, I decided to go with ATI... it the past I found ATI cards to be useless but my 4870 runs perfectly.

I have to agree, I have never been a fan of ATI, although I went for the 4870 as evrey review I read on it was outstanding and I must admit that I think my long and exclusive relationship with nVidia is over.

I agree, ATI cards do seem impressive, but I can't argue for mobos that they work well with. My mobo and my gfxc are like two peas in a pod, so you know, winner everytime.

As for the merge, idd, but as you said, back when they were top dog, so..
