Daily Tech reports that E3 is losing support from a number of developers including Vivendi, Activision and ID Software. E3 made the decision to downsize and to reduce the amount of glamor in order to focus simply on the press, however it now appears that without the buzz and hype, E3 is no longer considered to be of importance to today's game developer. By cutting out the public, E3 has cut out the hype which the public would spread themselves... perhaps in the process, E3 has also cut out its profit and its future viability?
